Off to Paris for the Olympic Games!
The Weijers family embarked on an unforgettable journey across European waterways with their DaVinci 35 ‘Vivare’, all to experience the Olympic Games! From Heeg, they set off southward with great enthusiasm, passing through Enkhuizen and the vibrant city of Amsterdam, before continuing via Breda and the French inland, with stops in places like Charleville-Mézières and Sillery, eventually reaching Paris. They kept detailed statistics of their journey for us.
This trip took them over an impressive 2,108 kilometers of waterways, navigating 290 locks and 9 tunnels along the way. They also moored in 39 different marinas, each offering a new place to explore.
In total, they spent 219 hours on the water, with their DaVinci 35 averaging 5.8 liters of diesel per hour. This added up to a total of 1,272 liters of diesel for the entire journey, or roughly 1.6 kilometers per liter. They traveled at an average speed of 9.6 kilometers per hour.
